- On a computer, use the settings control panel to find the "Desktop Picture" or "Themes" menu and choose the new background for your screen. This varies depending on your operating system, but sometimes it's as easy as right-clicking on an image and selecting "Set as Desktop Image."
- For a web page it can be a bit more complicated, as you have to go into the code itself and insert the image location within the BACKGROUND HTML tag. You can also use that tag and some CSS to precisely position the image and control other aspects of it.
- On a phone, usually you have to either use your computer to upload the picture via Bluetooth or USB, or else navigate to the website using the phone's browser. Most phones then have an option to use the picture as "wallpaper."

- Jurko is an example of many wallpaper websites with millions of images, some of which fall into the patriotic theme.
